An adorable little quick trail to walk, about 1.5 km round trip. Nice clear path, restroom, outhouse style and a shack to picnic. I went in winter and it was very scenic and picturesque, but can see how it would be fun in the summer as well. Just off of highway 16 past Acheson. Worth the stop. Walking only. You have to climb through an open fence to get to the trail so no vehicles or quads can get in.

Beautiful trails, very quiet. Overall a great pace to take photos, walk with the dog, or just get out of the city for a brief period of time.

Love this loop with kids! The tipped trees and their root systems are quite a sight. Short boardwalk over a marsh. Not particularly stroller friendly. Can be quite icy in the winter. Quiet from highway noise once you’re inside the trees.

Friend suggested we go out for a walk; I've never done this area before and it was very nice! We did the loop twice and it was a perfect way to spend the afternoon. The trails are clear ans the muddy areas are almost entirely gone.

Another nice little spot for a family walk but you cant get in here with a stroller. There is an area to stop and sit with a roof over your head, and the trails are decently maintained. It would be nice if we were able to come here in the summer and get the stroller thru so we can take our newest addition to the family along with us rather than strapping him into the backpack.

Wagner Natural Area is a breath of fresh air just west of Edmonton on The Yellowhead Highway. It has a beautiful walk of about 1.5 km that you will thoroughly enjoy. It is relatively flat with a marked trail. Some of the trail is a boardwalk. Be aware that the trail is wet at times and with puddles. I would suggest you wear waterproof footwear. There is a outhouse in case you need to go to the washroom. I definitely recommend this place for a relaxing stroll through the trees and open spaces.

A great little trail! The road to get to the trailhead has crazy potholes though.Take the time to stop and read the informational signs along the way and you'll appreciate the different plants along the way a lot more. We were lucky and went out when the orchids were in bloom which was amazing to see! The trail is very easy to walk, could easily be done by kids. Wear waterproof shoes though, in some places the trail is extremely wet. Also BRING BUG SPRAY!! The mosquitoes are brutal in the evening.

Once you can actually find your way into the fenced area it is actually a great little hike. It’s a short 1.4 -1.7 km hike that’s rates as easy. It’s pet friendly as long as the dog is on a leash and you pick up after it. There are a lot of areas where it looked like deer or elk have bedded down at one point.
